Mission and vision

The Amancio Ortega Foundation is a non-profit institution that began operating in 2001, the result of its founder’s philanthropic interests and his desire to contribute to a better society.

In the spirit of creating well-being for all members of society, every Amancio Ortega Foundation project aims to create opportunities for the participants and beneficiaries, especially the most vulnerable.

The Foundation works with two key sectors to help people lead a high-quality life: Education and Social Welfare. Amancio Ortega’s personal values and management style are the main source of inspiration for both the strategy and the day-to-day running of the institution. That is why the Amancio Ortega Foundation is based on understanding and compromise, with a charitable approach and a focus on authenticity and consistent effort.
