In collaboration with the Santiago Rey-Fernández Latorre Foundation and backed by the Universidade da Coruña, in 2017 the Amancio Ortega Foundation launched a Master’s Degree in Journalistic and Audiovisual Production (MPXA, its abbreviation in Galician) with the aim of making it easier for Spanish and international students with undergraduate degrees to access high-quality education in the field of communication and audiovisual production.
The MPXA, which includes two specializations—advanced multiplatform journalism and executive audiovisual production—offers 30 grants with a full scholarship to participate in face-to-face training in A Coruña for nine months worth 72 ECTS credit points and a paid internship lasting a minimum of two months to complete the course. Since the program began, it has a significant proportion of participants from different countries in Latin America.
Until 2023, the Master’s Degreen has given 150 scholarships.
