During 2016, the Amancio Ortega Foundation signed a collaboration agreement with ASPRONAGA (Galicia Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities), a leading entity that cares for people with intellectual disabilities in A Coruña, to build a home for people who need a lot of support.
With an area of 620 square metres, this home is located in the town of Oleiros where most of ASPRONAGA’s services are already located. It has 15 rooms equipped with a bathroom, a living room, a kitchen with a storage area, a laundry room and two care and treatment rooms, among other rooms, all designed and equipped depending on the mobility and care needs of the users it has been designed for.
The Galicia Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities (ASPRONAGA, for its abbreviation in Spanish) has provided services to its beneficiaries since 1962 thanks to the work of a team made up of 188 professionals and 70 volunteers.
